April Fool's Day with Megan Hollinger

I played my first April Fool's joke of the day early this morning.  A friend of mine's cousin in Cheonan sent an invite for people to come to her kid sister's birthday party.  I wrote:

"Sorry, who are you?"

and she totally bit it.

Megan:

"It's Megan! Chris Bemrose's cousin. Remember I ate your turkey at Todd's wedding???

Me: 

April Fool's you twit.

I'm going to Cheonan sometime soon, maybe this weekend. Let's hook up.

Megan: 

OMG! You're awesome. I totally forgot it's April 1st. ASA! you just made my day. I'm going to have so much now. haha

For sure, let me know if you make down to Cheonan this weekend. I'm actually off Thursday/Friday this week. Gotta luv those uni birthday.

Student Posts

My students in my writing class are now writing blogs as part of the class assignments.  There are no requirements other than to post and I thought I should do the same thing.  I only used this blog in the past for functionality checks for my website but now I am glad i have it.  My own website got hammered in a CMS upgrade and most of the data was lost.  I have to rebuild it, bit by bit, before it is completely functional.  I only started the website to learn more about website construction and sadly, I still don;t know much despite the fact that I have learned more than I ever cared to know.  Why is knowledge acquisition so painful?
