When I was in my apartment I heard a loud crunch and I looked out the window to find some guy had taken my bumper clean off the car trying to force his gas guzzling SUV through a space too small. I went down and asked what happened and the driver and three passengers looked at me and said "Hmmm. Don't know what happened here." Also, when I got downstairs, my bumper was magically back on my car. After they realized I was the owner of the car, they admitted they hit the car and then asked if it looked alright to me. I touched the bumper with my finger and it fell off.
Last week I was searching for a parking space so I could visit my friend who manages a coffee shop in Gungdong. Driving round and round searching for the elusive space. I started to turn left down this one street when I saw a large SUV barreling down the road. I stopped abruptly and then a scooter rammed into the back of my car. I got out to look at the damage when the guy on the scooter (no helmet with a passenger) started wingeing about his leg.
"Shut up!" I yelled. "You hit my car. Shut up!"
The winger shut up and then started to moan again. I noticed that half of his fender was coming off the scooter. People tend to follow to closely when they drive motor vehicles here in this country.
